Learn more about Ikon here: https://ikon.edu.au/about/. About the roleThis is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to join a growing academic team.The Course Co-ordinator of the Bachelor of Arts Therapy is responsible for supporting the academic leadership and delivery of the Bachelor of Arts Therapy and its nested courses, including teaching, and learning design and quality, assessment, academic integrity and misconduct, credit transfers and RPL, student engagement, and academic progression and Canvas management.  The role will provide high-level administrative and coordination support to the Head of School, develop positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and cohesive operation and manage a team of permanent and casual academic staff.This role will also coordinate the revision, development, and delivery of subjects offered on-campus and online.The Course Coordinators are also members of the Teaching and Learning Committee and Course Advisory Committees for their respective courses.    About youYou will be able to solve problems, make decisions, and manage your time well to meet deadlines. Given that you will be leading a small team, it would be beneficial to have some prior leadership or people management experience.You'll be an effective communicator. We would love to hear from you if you are a team player who enjoys initiating and carrying out projects. Education, experience, and skillsA Ph.D./ Doctoral qualification in art/s therapy or related area with academic management experience OR Master’s degree in art/s therapy with extensive experience in course coordination, academic management and teaching and learning development.  Knowledge of contemporary developments in the discipline or field, informed by continuing scholarship and/or practice.  Demonstrated experience teaching subjects at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels.   Demonstrated experience as an academic course coordinator, effectively coordinating course delivery.  Ability to build strong relationships with academics, casual teachers, and administrative staff.  Ability to move seamlessly between corporate culture and person-centred therapeutic culture.  Experience using Canvas or a similar learning management system and willing to coordinate the uploading of materials to CANVAS each trimester.  Demonstrated understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.  Demonstrated experience in developing effective curriculum, including course outcomes, course structure, subject outlines, and subject learning outcomes and course materials to the format and standards set by the regulatory frameworks.  Demonstrated understanding of holistic and transformative therapeutic frameworks and transformational learning pedagogy will be highly regarded Why work with Ikon?Work-life balanceTraining and development opportunitiesA positive culture and fun team Diversity & Inclusion We celebrate our diversity and strive to reflect contemporary Australian society in order to better serve our students.
