About the roleThis is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to join our growing academic team.The Academic Course Co-ordinator of Early Childhood Education will:support the academic leadership and the delivery of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and its nested courses.act as the primary point of academic contact for the academic team within a course.manage teaching and learning design and quality, scholarly activities, professional development, assessment moderation, teaching and marking allocation, academic integrity and misconduct, student engagement, RPL, and academic progression.coordinate the revision, development, and delivery of subjects offered on-campus and online.teach 2 subjects per trimesterprovide administrative and coordination support to the Head of Schooldevelop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and cohesive operation.The Academic Course Coordinator is a member of the Teaching and Learning Committee, Grade Review Committee and Course Advisory Committee for the course. Education, experience, and skillsA PhD or Postgraduate qualification in a directly related discipline or field OR Master’s degree in early childhood education with extensive experience in course coordination, academic management and teaching and learning development. Experience in academic management within a higher education environment.Demonstrated experience managing a team, including driving people and culture processes preferred.Demonstrable organisational and planning skills.Knowledge of contemporary developments in the discipline or field, informed by continuing scholarship and/or practice.Current or recent practising experience within the discipline or field preferred.Skills in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment principles specific to the discipline or field.Experience in developing, leading, and managing a high-performing team.Experience in course review leading to improved course design and student outcomes.Demonstrated an understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and any learning management systems.
