Learn more about Ikon here. About the roleThe Executive Dean is responsible for providing inspirational, innovative, and enterprising leadership across all aspects of the institute, including academics and operations.  The Executive Dean leads the management of quality outcomes regarding course design, teaching and learning, student enrolments and student performance, student support services, and meeting regulatory and professional standards.  As a senior member of the Ikon team, the Executive Dean contributes to the corporate vision, mission, and goals, and their implementation across the business and the Group Acting in accordance with the policies and procedures of Ikon and the Group, the Executive Dean will be a key representative of the CEO and Ikon to the external community, in particular to the professions and disciplines that Ikon services.  The Executive Dean is a member of the Academic Board, Risk Management Committee, and Chair of the Teaching and Learning Committee. About youYou are passionate about education and creating a difference for students. including offers, withdrawal of offers, cancellation of enrolments, and approving a student’s return after being excludedConduct annual Performance Review Plans of direct reports, and ensure that this is done for all staffEnsure systems and processes associated with academic and student management, such as the learning management system and student management system, facilitate a high standard of outcomes for students and staffEnsure the proper conduct of all matters relating to staff, students, and academic results, adhering to organisational policies, procedures, and standards Ensure a high standard and efficient use of facilities and resources to meet the scale of the business across academic and operational domainsFacilitate activities that support enrolment targets being met and maintained, including activities associated with student recruitment, student achievement, progression, retention, and completion, identifying risks and issues, and actively engaging support and operations External Representation Represent Ikon in the external community on academic and operational matters by developing and maintaining links with industry, government, and professional bodies goals Expert knowledge of contemporary pedagogical developments in face-to-face and online delivery modes, informed by continuing scholarship and/or practice Proven record of high-quality outcomes associated with course development and accreditation, and the management of coursesDemonstrated understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education
