About us:Ikon Institute of Australia, is a unique private higher education provider in Creative therapies, Counselling, Psychotherapy and Early Childhood Education.The School of Psychotherapy at Ikon pursues the ideals of radical, transformational education in which students undertake to achieve mastery in three domains: to become masters of change processes, to become masters of relationship, and to become masters of themselvesIkon's approach to education is experimental, explorative, and holistic, seeking to integrate insights from numerous disciplines and traditions (intellectual, therapeutic and spiritual).  About you:We are seeking expressions of interest from scholar-practitioners for whom the idea of transformational education is of fundamental importance, and whose own commitment to continuous learning and the pursuit of self-mastery can become an exemplar for students in the School of Psychotherapy at Ikon. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thrive in a team environment and are able to work autonomously. The role:This is a permanent position within the expanding academic team.Key Responsibilities of the role include:Teaching within the field of study as determined by the Head of FacultyEngagement of the daily operations of the faculty of PsychotherapyEngagement with academic operations within Ikon’s guidelines, policies and practices to achieve its performance objectivesUphold Ikon’s transformative learning framework and pedagogical standardsEnsure that academic operations are in accordance with AQF, ACA/PACFA/ANZACATA National standards and CRICOS Specific duties include: Facilitate learning in a dynamic and engaging mannerRegular coordination with Student Services Group and Quality Assurance team as well as with the domestic and international admissions teams where pertinentManage relationships with external associates, including benchmarking partners; MoU partners; teaching and placement partnersIn cooperation with the Head of Faculty, ensure adherence by students to policy and procedures and address first-level student complaints and concernsIn consultation with the Head of Faculty, ensure that students have access to an extensive range of support services that enable high-quality student outcomesProvide well-informed advice to the management team regarding faculty operationsEnsure consistency of approach and a thorough understanding of all operational practicesOrganise or participate in student orientations, open days and information sessions, graduations and other student eventsParticipate as a member in the Ikon Scholarly Activities CircleInvolvement, where required, in the People and Culture functions of the groupEnsure WH&S practices are maintained in alignment with government regulations Qualifications and skillsMaster’s degree preferred, or a bachelor’s degree as a minimum, completed in a directly related field of study.
