Learn more about Ikon here: https://ikon.edu.au/about/. About the roleThe Placement Advisor manages and administers student placements, facilitates a positive placement experience for the students and maintains a solid ongoing relationship with host organisations.A substantial part of this role will be to grow and maintain the network of host organisations. This role is the key contact point for students, industry partners and staff requiring advice about student placements. About youThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience engaging with a broad range of people, in person, over the phone, and over email. The candidate must have outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate workflow and prioritise work activities effectively while keeping a high degree of engagement with the host organisations. Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and onboard host organisations with placement agreements and build placement partnerships for Ikon students nationally.Maintain rapport with host organisations, including regular check-ins throughout the placement.Promote Ikon courses to the host organisations.Develop internal and external stakeholder relationships that benefit all parties involved in placement- host organisations, students, ikon staff, clinical lecturers and clinical supervisors.Lead the review of placement processes and implement strategies in response to students’ and the host organisations’ feedback, to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement.Liaise with Heads of School, student experience team, and education service team regarding placement subject requirements and timetabling at least five weeks before the commencement date.Provide general information to placement students at least two weeks before the commencement date.Design and deliver placement orientation workshops for the enrolled students at least one week before the commencement.Organise a 1:1 interview (15 minutes per student) with each placement student to assign host organisation at the beginning of each trimester.Manage student risks and concerns identified during the Mid-Trimester Review (MTR) by placement lecturers or the host organisations.Respond to placement enquiries from students and host organisations. Education, Experience and Skills:Bachelor qualification or higher in an area related to the role.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.Ability to effectively work within a team towards achieving high-quality outcomes.Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively with various people at varying levels, internal and external to an organisation. Why work with Ikon?Work-life balanceTraining and development opportunitiesA positive culture and fun teamPaid birthday leave Diversity & Inclusion We celebrate our diversity and strive to reflect contemporary Australian society in order to better serve our students.
