Learn more about Ikon here. About the roleAs a Placement Advisor, your role will be to work directly with students and organisational stakeholders to coordinate and negotiate ‘agency placements’ for Ikon’s Bachelor of Early Childhood Education students. You will support National students and agency partners in negotiating placement conditions and supporting all parties throughout the placement journey.  About youYou will need to be confident and competent in networking and relationship building skills, as well as strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks. This role sits within a collaborative and positive team culture at Ikon. If you are a team player and like to make things happen and see them through to completion, we would love to hear from you. Key ResponsibilitiesWork with and empower national Ikon students embarking on a community placementUse your interpersonal skills to establish internal and external stakeholder relationships Build upon existing industry partners and connections to source placements across AustraliaResearch new agency partners and negotiate contractual placement agreements for Ikon studentsBe part of facilitate Ikon Placement Orientation Workshops as required Use your strong organisational and planning skills to multi-task and manage your workload to meet work priorities and student needsAbility to work part of collaborative and supportive team who values initiative and making things possible. Uphold professional boundaries and ensure duty of care standards are being metStoring and recoding all placement documentation Use your analytical skills to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement Education, Experience, and SkillsHold a qualification in Early Childhood (e.g. Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood)A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a room leaderPreferably a Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentCurrent knowledge and skills in the Vocational and Higher Education setting would be greatly beneficialAn outstanding networker with the ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with industry partner. Why work with Ikon?
